In "Sadar Upazila of Bagerhat" district (south-western region of Bangladesh), there lives a 100 years old crocodile. This creature was under the care of the "Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali Shrine".
The surprising fact was that, the shrine was being flocked by a number of visitors to feed the reptile. They were throwing meats of various kinds of animals such as goats and chickens. By feeding the large and obese crocodile, they believe that it would give them good fortune in return.
Recently, the country's economy was going down. As a result, the fat reptile gained more visitors to seek for its blessings.
According to one of the crocodile's caretaker, the people use to offer chickens. But since the desperate time, they started throwing large animals such as goats. It's because they believe that larger-sized sacrifice have a higher chances that their wish will be full-filled.
So the crocodile kept on eating everything that was offered by the worshippers. As a result, it died from "overeating".
