September 6th, 2015 marked the fifty year anniversary of the war that took place in 1965. To celebrate this auspicious event, numerous events in various cities were taking place. Organized by the Army, Airforce and Navy. There was a 31 gun salute not only in the Capital but each province had a 21 gun salute, to pay homage to the Martyrs of not only the 1965 war but for all those that have given up their lives to ensure that this great country and its people can thrive.
Thousands of Pakistanis came out to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Defence Day. Patriotism soared high. With gun salutes, marches and airshow and drill exbitions.
