The AGTI or Annual General Tactical Inspection is held during the start of the year, around mid-February wherein inspectors and guests challenges the skills, potentials and tactics of the different Units through many tests and inspections. Everything starts with the Head Quarters/Admin Inspection and here, the Staff, documents, administration, premises and organizations are scrutinized. There are certain categories to be filled in and scores to be recorded to determine the preliminary performance of the unit. Next comes the even heavier and harder test which happens on the AGTI day itself. The NCR competition is held in BNS Fort Bonifacio and different schools like DLSU-M, DLSU-D, PMI, Adamson, UMak, PMMS Manila and PMMS Las Piñas come together for this occasion. The Unit's specialty on land navigation, first aid, assembly/ disassembly of rifles, comprehensive exams, close order drills, arrival honors, ranks inspection and pass-in review are greatly tested at this time. Every detail is watched closely by the judges so that the best Unit would emerge as champions by the end of the day. There are two divisions of this competition: AGTI Locals and AGTI Nationals. The units who win in the AGTI Locals will represent their Naval Reserve Command (by regions in the country) to the AGTI Nationals,
