A protest over the National Herald issue in which the Gandhi family is accused to be involved was held in Himachal Pradesh's capital Shimla by the Congress party. As part of the protest, an effigy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was burnt in front of the deputy commissioner's office in Shimla. It is learnt that while burning the effigy of the Prime Minister, five Congress activists sustained injuries; of whom one was critically affected. The critically injured was rushed to the hospital. The Congress party is silent over the issue.
