5. Yokohama Matsumoto Castle

Yokohama - If Hokkaido is a second largest city in northern Japan, Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan with jumplah population of over three million inhabitants. The distance between Yokohama to Tokyo about a half hour drive time to the south of the city of Tokyo by train, and is the capital of Kanagawa Prefecture.

Towards the end of the Edo Period circa 1603-1867, Japan maintains a policy of self-isolation, the port of Yokohama is one of the first areas opened to foreign trade in 1859. The result of all that is Yokohama growing faster than originally just a small fishing village became one of the major cities in Japan. Until now, Yokohama remains popular in the expatriate community, and has one of the largest Chinatowns in the world and still retain some of residence of former West in Yamate district.
