Durham Cathedral in England
Durham Cathedral, in the city of Durham in northeast England, Norman building is the largest in the UK and maybe even in Europe. The building is valued not only for its architecture, but also for the structure of the building is very great. Durham Cathedral foundation stone was made on August 12, 1093. Since then, there have been great additions and reconstruction of some parts of the building, but most of the structure remained faithful to the Norman design. In a nationwide BBC poll held in 2001 elected Durham Cathedral England's most beloved buildings, and became one of the tourist attractions in the UK.
