Last month I witnessed an interesting cricket match which was played at Sher e Bangla Stadium Bangladesh.It was played between the teams of Pakistan And India.Both the teams were very strong and traditional rival,so the match was very interesting.
The match was started and the Indian Captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first.The Indian openers had to face the best bowling attack of the world.They started carefully,but Pakistan got the early break through.Soon after the Indian skipper and one of the best ODI batsman of the world Virat Kohli was removed.
The Indian operner Rohit Sharma was sticked to one end,Although the wickets was falling at regular intervals but Sharma was playing beautifully and got to his half century.But atlast Pakistani young fast bowler Muhammad Talha got him out.Then the indian team started to struggle because it was 145 for 5,and their best batsmans were in the pavilion.The Indian All rounder Ravindra Jadeja played aggressively and put a respected total of 244 on the scoreboard.
Like Indians Pakistani openers started the inning very badly.It was 9/2 in the 3rd over.Some one has to sticked in the crease to chase this total.Ahmed shehzad scored a half century.Few short Partnerships were made.but it was clear that the Pakistani Batsmen were struggling.But a good partnership was made between Sohaib Maqsood and Misbah.Pakistan was at the driving seat but at once 2 wickets fell in an over.Now this small total looked like miles away from Pakistani team.
At that time,the King of Sixes.Shahid Afridi arrived at the ground and whole crowd started to roared in one voice “BOOM BOOM”.He started in his aggressive style and gave Pakistan a chance to win it.But in no time 3 wickets fell down in 9 balls and looked like india is going to have a vctory.
Pakistan needed 10 runs in the last over and only two wickets were left.The bad news for Pakistan was that,Afridi was on the non striker end.Ashwin bowled a beauty and the Pakistan 9th wicket was felt.Now Junaid Khan came to bat.He took a single and gave Afridi the strike.9 runs were needed from the last four ball.Shahid Afridi hitted two back to back sixes and snatched victory from Indian.Pakistani whole team was in the ground and the Pakistani crowd was shouting with joy.
