It is alarming to know that a barely 20 feet long reservoir in Mumbai which is filled with murky, filthy, stagnant water from BMC sewage lines serves as an open-air laundry in the city and over 4,000 clothes are washed there every day, including linen from hospitals and restaurants from different parts of the city. This horrifying fact has been brought to light by an organization and it may be expected that the government and the concerned departments must wake up.
