I wasn't here on a Saturday because I attended a wedding. I already knew it was coming because the groom already shared the details on how he popped the question a bout a year ago. 

After almost 10 years, they are finally married. One great thing about it is that I am close to both the groom and the bride. I no longer have questions like "who is that girl? Are you sure she is not after his handsomeness?" or "who is that guy? Are you sure he is not after her money?". Because I know both of them, there is no need for me to be protective and go on objecting the idea of wedding. 

I have been there even before the girl said yes as the groom used to serenade her. The groom is a former band mate and a co youth leader and he can sing so smooth like Jason Mraz. The bride belong to a very well off family while the groom is a fisherman's son. But my man proved to them through hard work that he deserves her. 

Well the occasion also was an impromptu reunion of the guys who were with me during my teen years as a youth leader. We started a bond,  a friendship we centered around Christ. So it was great having the gang all together again. I may post a different blog about them. 

Now some of us are engaged, some of us are already married with kids or without kids, while some us are already pregnant. So I will be a godfather again soon. Oh how times passes, it felt like 15 years ago just happened yesterday. Oh the food was great and the sweets were fun, I have pic there of the cupcakes. It was 15 but I already ate the 11 pieces before I remembered to take a pic. And their were lots of chocolates, I managed to pocket some pieces to give to my girlfriend. hehe

As the ceremony ended the couple went on to thank all the people that was there and all those who supported them in their relationship. But no, it us that should be thanking them. Thank you Lyndon and Giselle for reminding us true love still exist
