Former All-Pro New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez is struggling to pay his legal team, according to Fox Sports. Hernandez is accused of committing three murders. He has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Odin Lloyd at an industrial park in North Attleboro last year as well as the slaying of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado outside of Cure nightclub in Boston as previously reported by Bouncer Chronicles.
Lawyers Charles Rankin and James Sultan, who were at both of Hernandez's arraignments filed documents to the courts indicating they may no longer represent him moving forward. The reason? A portion of the $12.5 million bonus that was supposed to be guaranteed to Hernandez is in dispute. His $1.3 million dollar home is the subject of a restraining order that prevents him from using or selling the house as collateral.
