Afghanistan is a beautiful country. It is located at the heart of Asia. It is a dry land country. It has many high mountains and many long rivers. Kabul is the capital of Afghanistan. This country has 34 provinces.

 The biggest province in Afghanistan is Helmand province and there are many cities and villages in each province of Afghanistan. People who live in Afghanistan are Afghans, and it is an Islamic country. Its religion is Islam. According to statistic research, Afghanistan has over 30 million populations.

There are many languages in Afghanistan but the two formal languages are Pashto and Dari. About 70 percents of Afghans are farmers. These people mostly grow saffron in Afghanistan because Afghanistan especially Herat province has the first grade saffron in the world.

 Afghanistan is neighbor with six countries which are Iran, Pakistan, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. This country got its freedom from England in 1919 when Shah Amanullah was the king of Afghanistan.
