Last year, a blue whale washed up at Alibaugh along the Maharashtra coast and died after a 10-hour struggle to push her back into the sea. Again on last Thursday night, a 30-foot whale washed up on the Juhu beach in Mumbai. The whale is said to weigh around four tonnes and was spotted after 10 pm. According to experts, the animal belongs to the Bryde variety and has been dead for two or three days. Cranes had to be called in to remove the remains. As the animal has no external injuries, the cause of death might be sound pollution under water, pollution from industries, plastic consumption, or even disease.
Again another whale found dead on Mumbai's Juhu beach.
