I was browsing the YouTube channel 60-Minutes looking for a topic for my second C-blog or Querlo Chat Blog. I was surprised to see the title of the first video on the list.
“Venture capitalist: AI will displace 40 percent of world's jobs in as soon as 15 years”
In the interview with former Google Executive, Kai-Fu Lee, he said:
“I believe [AI] is going to change the world more than anything in the history of mankind,” Lee told CBS. “More than electricity.”
He claims that in at least 15 years, AI will replace 40 percent of the workers worldwide.
A very alarming statement. The question is, how likely is it to happen?
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies are continually being developed. I believe the development of technology should be aimed to help people to make their tasks easier.
However, the direction of the development of these technologies is going in a slightly different direction. Instead of helping workers, Artificial Intelligence could very well take away the jobs from people.

What will happen to the people who will be affected?
Perhaps this is the biggest question when the time comes. What will happen to the workers who will lose their jobs to Artificial Intelligence? Will they have enough time to prepare and learn new skills?
