Karnataka state in Indian Territory is known for many historical places. It has many places with temples and many such things because of which people and tourist from all around the world visit Karnataka every year. Out so many places from Karnataka state, Aihole is one well-known village with many historic temples. It is a small town in the district of Bagalkot, Karnataka. It is the position of great religious and heritage interest. It is recognized as Chalukyan structural design with 125 stone temples from the 5th century. As per the mythology, Aihole is location where Parashurama cleaned his axe after executing kshatriyas. Many of the visitors come to this place are Hindu devotees. It is one of the historical importance places, and it is also known as Cradle of Indian structural designs.
This historical place many consist temples such as Durga temple, Ambigra Gudi temple, Chikki temple, Eniyar temple, Ravanaphadi rock-cut temple, Gauri temple, Galaganatha temple, Jaina temple, Jain temple, Hucchimalli temple, Rachi temple, Lad Khan temple and many others temples. The total 125 temples from Aihole are divided into 22 groups that are located in each and every part of the village. Almost every temple in this village was built during 6th and 8th centuries.
