A US-led coalition air hit killed a chemical weapons expert with the Islamic State outfit in Iraq who once served for Saddam Hussein, US military officers told on Friday.

The air attack conducted out previous Saturday near Mosul took out Abu Malik, whose training Supplied the extremist outfit with expertise to pursue a chemical weapons ability, the military told in a statement. Malik had served at a chemical weapons production plant under Saddam's empire and afterward faked an affiliation with Al-Qaeda in Iraq in 2005, before uniting the terrorist IS group, according to Central Command.
