Hello Friends, I hope you are doing fine. Today, I have come up with my another new blog with the title of Akon - The Singer. Friends, American born Akon is widely recognized as a Singer, Songwriter, Record Producer and for his different Business Ventures. He is a wonderful performer because he, in a short span of time, has won many accolades and awards because of his talent in music, his attracting voice and singing. He is a multiple Grammy Awards Nominated as well as American Music Award, World Music Awards, BET Hip Hop Awards and Teen Choice Award winning singer and songwriter who has distinction in Pop Music, Hip Hop Music, Soul Music and R&B Music genres. He has won many other National and International awards. So many people out there in the world are not aware of him as much but he has been there on the Music Charts for more than 10 years and has been giving number one songs on International Music Charts. He originally belongs to a poor African nation Senegal but showed strong determination and talent to prove his worth. Akon was born on April 16, 1973 in Missouri, the United States of America. His parents were fond of music as his mother was a dancer and his father was a famous jazz percussionist. Therefore, Akon started taking interest in music at an early age. He has undoubtedly validated the fact that if you work hard with the combination of talent then nobody can stop you from achieving your dreams. He has rocked the Music World with his sheer talent and ability to produce great music. He has a sweet and melodious voice and those qualities have made him a renowned personality in the world of music. He has been successful throughout his music career and has sold many millions of his records across the globe in more than 20 years of his music career. In this Blog, I shall discuss his music career, his famous studio albums, his efforts in the music world and the life after the stardom he has attained.

Having made a lot of efforts for his first record deal and successfully managing to impress UpFront Records, Akon released his debut international studio album with the title of Trouble in June 2004 under the banners of UpFront Records, SRC Records and Universal Music Group. This first studio album proved to be a great success and paved the way for Akon in his music career. Akon's attempts and efforts for his recognition had brought fruits plus his talent helped him a great deal and release of this album cemented his recognition as a Singer & Songwriter throughout the world. This album received favorable reviews from music critics and was liked by music fans all over the world. This album had 11 tracks and was based on R&B Music, Soul Music and Pop Music Genres. For this album, Akon worked under the collaboration of experienced Music Producers and Directors such as Knobody and Disco D. The album was declared to be a Commercially Hit album as it debuted within top 20 spots on the US Billboard 200 and managed to become number one album in the United Kingdom as well as showing good progress on Music Charts in many other countries. This album managed to sell more than 2 Million copies worldwide. In order to promote this album, Akon went on to release five singles from this album and all managed to reach within high spots on the US Billboard Hot 100. His first released single Locked Up showed impressive performance on the Music Charts. Apart from album sales, Akon has sold millions of his released singles. He is more known and famous for releasing singles in collaboration with other famous and talented artists. Akon also contributed as guest vocals to a large number of commercially successful singles throughout his music career. He has worked with renowned singers such as Gwen Stefani in the song The Sweet Escape, with Bone Thugs-n-Harmony in the song I Tried, with T-Pain in the song Bartender and with Wyclef Jean in the song Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill). He has also been giving stand-alone songs such as So Blue (video below). All of these songs showed very good performance by selling in high numbers and by managing to reach good positions on the Music Charts of Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom as well as in many other countries.
