The Alfa Romeo SZ or Sprint Zagato was a limited edition sportscar unveiled at the 1989 Geneva Motor Show. Much was expected from this model as it was produced under the partnership of Zagato, Romeo and Fiat. The same Robert Opron, who styled the stunner Citroen SM, which was a marriage of Citroen and Maserati, conceived the design of this car with finishing touches by Antonio Castellana. 1036 coupes with injection moulded plastic exteriors were manufactured before production of the ES -30 or Experimental Sportscar 3.0L, was halted. The ES 30 is one of the last models with rear wheel drive brought out by Alfa Romeo before it was taken over by Fiat. It is fairly priced at $65,000, maybe because it is a very different looking, rare piece of architecture that still has a few admirers even now.
