Good news for people looking to get a Lumia phone
While Android owners are playing the “will-my-phone-get-Lollipop” game, current and potential Lumia owners need not worry about future Windows Phone updates. Microsoft has confirmed through their official Lumia twitter account that all current Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 handsets can will be upgradable to Windows 10 when it arrives next year.
The tweet also mentioned that the company will also be releasing Windows 10 smartphones next year, but that’s not really a surprise, is it? Microsoft has not announced as of yet if other Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones from other manufacturers will be able to get the Windows 10 update, though if the Lumia 520, one of the most affordable Lumia smartphones in existence can run Windows 10, we’re sure that even Cherry Mobile’s Alpha Luxe will be able to.
