Nature contain things never be useless. In present biodiesel from microalgae is getting too much importance. It can produce 58,700 L/Hectare. It can be used as alternative of fossil fuels. Through use of microalgae stress on food crops will be reduced. It will also help to reduce the “Green House Gas” i.e CO2. It will produce less toxic and pollutant as compared to fossil fuel because it does not contain elements like sulfur and nitrogenous compounds. But economics is the biggest issue. It is not possible yet to produce biodiesel which is economical for large scale. It is a micro-organism and its characteristics vary from area to area. It demands too much attention for its growth. And deficiency in any condition may leads to failure of process. Lipids are the basic oil content of microalgae responsible for biodiesel. it is also used for making many value able things like Vitamin, Food Supplement and pigments.
