AM I PROUD TO BE A PAKISTANI?

Posted on at

Hello guys. I am writing this blog out of my misery and sadness I have been in from past few days. Few things have been bothering me and there is no one to share them with so I have decided to convert those feelings and imply them on the topic I have been wondering to write on; Am I proud to be a Pakistani?

Before you actually start reading this blog I just want to clear one thing over here that the sadness I mentioned is no way related to myself being a Pakistani or not. It is related to a whole another topic but It's just my frustration that I have to expose somewhere so I am converting it into this blog.

I am born in Pakistan and like every other person I am proud of it. Now I know it wasn't my choice to make but if I was given an opportunity to choose my mother land in perspective of what Pakistan has become today then I would have definitely NOT chosen Pakistan.

(And for those who are wondering which place/s? Well my list contains USA, UK, Germany, Russia, Japan, Canada, France, Italy and few more)

Now I don't have any personal issue with my motherland. Pakistan is for surely a better country as a piece of land than any other that I mentioned above. I have studied simple geography and topography of Pakistan and trust me when I say this that there are more natural resources in Pakistan that NO OTHER COUNTRY has and if some one RIGHTFUL explores and put a good use to these resources then Pakistan can become a superpower but my point is not that. I am here to discuss what people (referred to as Pakistanis) have done to this country.

And as far as Pakistanis are concerned. Unfortunately they are one of the most corrupt, two faced people I have experienced in my life. Now I am going to be very fair over here and I know I am also a Pakistani and yes I consider myself at some extent, a corrupt person too even if I don't want to believe in that. People blame on the governments that came to power or that are in power right now that leaders are not strong, not competent enough to build this nation correctly but the fact is that this nation is not competent enough to be built up, to be raised up, to be walked through the success path.

I ask whom do you talk about? President? Prime minister? Bureaucrats? Law enforcement agencies? You say they are corrupt? Where as, in reality, we are corrupt. We do not deserve a leader. You don't believe me? Go to you local market, go buy things from stalls. You will see from your own eyes, fake promises, lies dripping out the mouths of your traders. Now if your local level trader is not clean from corruption then how do you expect your leaders to be clean? Leaders are not dropped from skies, they are chosen BY YOU from YOU. So the thinking and mentality is the same in every one, I mean it has to be because they are of the same blood you are of.

You talk about religion. This country is Islamic, this and that. Religion teaches respect DAMN IT, not spreading fear, not SLAUGHTERING children, not BOMBING YOUR OWN PEOPLE, not KILLING just because someone called you a liar. And this is all happening today. Under the slogan of Religion, we are killing our own people, who does that? Not even animals. I hear news father RAPED his own daughter. You filthy piece of scum bags, you say that we are proud to be Pakistanis? Shame on every single one of us.

I'm gonna tell you when there was a moment when we could all say that YES WE ARE PROUD TO BE PAKISTANIS.

When Karachi used to be the business flag ship killer of the whole world.

When Lahore used to be the most attractive cities with the most open-hearted people in the world.

When Baluchistan had the best natural reserves of coal, gold, limestone and God knows what not. (It still does but can't be accessed)

When PIA (Pakistan International Airlines) used to be the one of the most successful and reliable airlines in the whole world.

When PIA's banner used to hang on the face of World Trade Center in USA.

When USA's delegates and President used to salute and greet Pakistan's officials in USA with respect and gratitude.

When leaders like Quaid-e-Azam had so much respect that when foreign delegates used to meet him, they used to first bow in front of him.

And I can certainly go on and on explaining points like these but the again it does not matter anymore. Think on all of this guys. If you have reached this part of my blog then please just apply one thing in your life. Forgive and Forget. Do not be that extremist, desperate, lusty person who just want to gain and not give. Do not gain, achieve.

And as far as that question is concerned; Then No, I am not proud to be a Pakistani. I would have been proud if I was born in 1950's.

Thankyou!
