A movie that I enjoy watching now and again is, "An Affair to Remember" with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. It's a remake of the same title from 1939.

I'm not a big romance movie person but I enjoyed this for his wit, romance and fun clean comedy. They meet on a cruise ship and fall in love but the problem is they are engaged to others. They agree to meet in six months on the top of the empire state building.

She winds up in an accident and becomes crippled so she doesn't show up. He pines away for awhile then finds out where she is and goes to her. Then he sees why and he doesn't care. You can figure out the rest.
