He went to London, visited clubs, met the people and raised funds for the school. He had great potential to work. His revolutionary ideas earned a great fame in the public.

In short we can say that Mr. Ralston was an efficient, energetic and successful headmaster. He was not a loveable person but a good administrator. Anyhow, students and the staff were afraid of him. He introduced new methods of teaching and raised the status of the school.

He contributed a good deal in regaining the reputation of the school. We should not compare him with Mr. Chips, Both have their own merits and demerits respectively.
