Preface                          

       The report on “Financial Analysis of ``Kohinoor sugar mills ltd.” is prepared as compulsory requirement of M.com degree course, under supervision of instructor. Financial analysis of the company for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 were conducted to deeply analyze the company performance & his comparative standing position in the industry.

 

       For this I had use financial tools like ratio analysis, horizontal and vertical analysis of income statement & balance sheet to get inside understanding of performance. Financial results can be widow dress but deep analyses of financial results do exhibit true internal picture, which is helpful for decision makers both internal & external. Financial analysis helps to find company profitability, solvency, liquidity and stability. Data for performance review are collected from annual reports of the company for the years 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010

 

       Objective of this project is to analysis financial results of Kohinoor sugar mills ltd. Corporation and find strength & weakness, base on overall industry base performance. Ratio-analysis is a concept or technique which is as old as accounting concept. Financial analysis is a scientific tool.  It has assumed important role as a tool for appraising the real worth of an enterprise, its performance during a period of time and its pit falls. Financial analysis is a vital apparatus for the interpretation of financial statements. It also helps to find out any cross-sectional and time series linkages between various ratios.
