Android Auto was first announced in Google I/O 2014 as Android’s foray into the automobile world. Several companies have already announced to put Android Auto into their cars but Google has been slow to roll out the software to the consumers.

With that said, consumers can finally get their chance to experience Auto for themselves because Google has just released the Auto app onto the Play store. The stage is set for Apple with its Carplay and Google with its Android Auto to take on each other on another front.
