Bangladesh, on May, 11 executed fundamentalist Jamaat-e-Islami chief Motiur Rahman Nizami at Dhaka Central Jail for committing war crimes during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971. The executive order to carry on with the execution was passed as the Jamaat-e-Islami chief refused to beg the president to have mercy on him. It is to be noted here that Nizami became the fifth war criminal of 1971 to be put to death.
Another execution of war criminal in Bangladesh.
