Arabian sea

It is also called Bahr-al-arab or persian sea(Bahr-al-fars)

Its width = 2400 km

Its depth = 3862000 km square

Its surface area = 4652m

Arabian sea is called Indian ocean because it lies in the north of Pakistan and Iran. In the south of Somalia, in the east of India and in the west of Arabian Peninsula.

The ancient names of Arabian sea is Sindhu sagar(meaning sea of Sindh in Sanskrit).

River Indus is the bigger river that flowing into the Arabian Sea.

Somalia, Djibouti, Yemen, Oman , Iran, Pakistan, India, and Maldives are the countries that lies on the coastlines of Arabian sea.

Karachi, Gwadar , Pasni, Ormara, Aden ,Muscat, Mumbai, Keti bandar, Salalah and Duqm are the cities that lies on the coastlines of Arabian sea.

Arabian sea provide the routes for trades.

Karachi port, Gwadar port, Muhammad bin qassim port, Port of salalah, oman port, Kandla port, Nava sheva port, Kochi port, Mumbai port, Mormugao port etc are the ports in the Arabian sea.

Socotra in yeman, Masirah in Oman, Astola in pakistan, and Andrott in India are several islands in Arabian sea.
