In India and specifically in Gujarat arrange marriage is the most common tradition.Here marriage means joint venture of two complete families and not only boy and girl.Parents used to find a suitable family for girl and vice versa. here the idea of parents of a girl is to have a look at the home where their daughter will be going. Also to judge the financial back ground of other family.

There is one to one interview between boy and girl here in separate room.This is basically time to know more about each other.Boy ask girl about her nature, likes, dislikes also how she can cook and all such basic questions.The most common question they ask is do you love to stay in joint family or separate family?
Girl also ask few question like if the boy has any bad habits of hard drink, cigarette, etc..After both of them satisfied the engagement ceremony is planned

The whole process gives idea to parents that how is that boy and how financially they are sound and based on that they become agree for this marriage.
