Have you ever wondered what LSD actually does to your brain?
One Reddit user decided to find out in a rather nifty experiment, using her friend, who is an artist.
The experiment was based on the US government’s ‘Nine Drawings’ experiment back in the 1950s, with said Reddit user, Whatafinethrowaway, getting her friend to draw the portraits over nine hours, after taking 200µg of LSD.

The effects are shown with the portraits, and it is quite startling to see, along with the fact that towards the latter end of the nine hour trip, she started to draw what she felt was inside her head, and not how she physically looked.
That hints at the obvious mental effects taking drugs like LSD have, and while most people probably already knew they messed with your mind, it is certainly interesting to see.

After the effects of the drug took full hold, she claimed:
During the previous one, I tried to draw what was inside my head, but in the middle of it, things were happening outside my head instead.

The very last portrait was one done right at the end of the nine hours, when the effects were wearing off.
Whatafinethrowaway claimed after the experiment:
It didn’t seem hard for her to focus, I was actually quite impressed by that.
She just loved what she was doing. I don’t know if the change of styles was on purpose or not.
Amazing stuff.
