As above so below gives a firsthand taunting experience

First look at the poster and we get a hint of what lays ahead. France, the most adored city in the world rests atop a mausoleum of ancient skeletons and bodily remnants of a bygone era.  It is right into the centre of this catacomb that a bunch of explorers dig into to realize a secret that the city has left buried in for centuries. The movie could be classified as one belonging to the mild horror movies of Hollywood that run heck with madness and terror in unexpected junctures. The movie reveals in detail how decayed and ruined our inner demons are than the horror of buried skeletons of the past.

The main cast of the movie includes Peredita Weeks, Ben Feldman, Edwin Hodge, Marion Lambert and Ali Maryhar. The movie is directed by John Erick Dowdle and the screenplay is written jointly by the director himself and Drew Dowdle. Patrick Aiello along with Drew Dowdle is the main producers who are accompanied by Daniel Chuba and Jamie Dixon as co-producers. Elliot Greenberg has edited the film giving the much needed right edge to the movie by fixing the right snaps and cuts at the right junctures.

The movie holds great impetus in art perspective as resurrecting the catacombs in an exact manner can only by handled by expert hands. Art director Pascal Leguellec along with his team comprising of Frédéric Cambon, Augustin Collet and Yvan Hart have created masterpieces of art that convince viewers of the film to have been shot in the real catacombs. Special effects by Philippe Hubin and his team have added imaging glory to the movie. Leo Hinstin is the cinematographer who has done justice to the film’s need of right equipment for dull lighting conditions.
