This supper reminds me of say, taco night. You assemble the stuff, having sides to go with the hard or soft shelled tortilla and meat.
I fried up some wheaty pancakes about half an hour before I headed out to get hubby then slapped them in the warmed oven with little pig sausages.
Earlier in the day I'd boiled up apples then churned out sauce with the Foley food mill. I'd also roasted peanuts then turned them into peanut butter.
I am glad I had the pancakes ready to go when it came time to eat. Sure made my job easier. I could sit, relax, spread some peanut butter on my pancake, and slurp on some pinky colored applesauce. Peace. Autumn peace.
