1. Vampire bats need to drink in average 1 ounce of blood at every feeding session, which represents half their body weight!

2. Female vampire bats regurgitate previously-drunk blood for their baby bats or to help out friends bats unlucky enough to find their own meal.

3. Bats use their teeth to shear away feathers or hair on their victims when they cut into their flesh with their sharp incisors.
