PARIS VOTES AGAINST CONTROVERSIAL NEW SKYSCRAPER

On the Cour de Rohan, a secluded courtyard that dates back to the 16th century, the home measures about 3,068 square feet and has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Balthasar Klossowski, better known as the artist Balthus, is known for his controversial paintings of young women on the verge of adulthood. He died in 2001 at the age of 92.

An exhibition on his work, “Balthus: Cats and Girls,” ran at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York from September 2013 to January 2014.

The current owner renovated the home to create a mix between a New York loft and the French countryside according to the WSJ.
