Many of use, as kids have been to some kinda of summer camp. But how many of us have been Camp Counselors?

Summer camp is a very special place full of very special people. The best part about summer camp is the experiences it brings not only for the campers but for the staff as well. Being a staff member of any camp is not only an honor, but also an opportunity. There are 7 billion people in this world, so it’s hard to make a different with some many people. A Camp Counselor’s job is to make the campers feel special, and in return the counselors feel special. There is always one camper who will look up to you. No matter how many kids there are, you will impact at least one’s life. Even if there are a so many counselors, you are a hero to someone there. Camp is a perfect world; you start new no matter whom you are out side of camp. You could be a loser, a broke college student, single parent, or just lost. Camp finds you and makes you new. Camp makes you “The Counselor” a ruler of this world and your royal subjects are the campers. From the ages of 8 to 16 (usually) they come to your kingdom, No, your world just to have fun. Some of them even come back to see you. Do you know why they do that? Because your awesome you made their summer last year a blast and I bet you can make their summer this year even better. So before you ask your self what a camp Counselor does or if you want to become one. Think about how awesome you will feel when some one in this world looks you in the eyes and says, “You’re my hero.” The feeling is amazing; camp Counselors are so much more then meets the eye. I should know, I was one, and it was the best time of my life.
