This blog is about Online Professionalism and the best way to keep it.
Keeping a good online presents. With people who are hiring check Facebook, Twitter and even give your name a Google. How can you protect your image when you love posting, tweeting, uploading and imprinting. Here are some useful tips to have a clean online status:
Who’s posting under what name: It’s very important before you post anything online to think what accounts on posting under and who is making the post. If you want to post something like “So drunk at this party, I might sleep with this ugly chick” I wouldn’t do it under your name. A fun out is to make a random account that isn’t associated with your name but you still post fun and risky stuff. Which brings me to my next point.
Fake name: Make an account on what ever social media page you like but give it a name that cant be traced to you. Something like “Guy Code” or “What girls say” or even a something or someone in pop culture like “Elder Cunningham” from the ‘Book of Mormon’ or something like that. This is one of the better ways to even gain a following or make money off of advertising.
Two accounts: Make two accounts one for work and one for pleasure. Your work one you only give to your boss and fellow co-workers. The other personal will be mostly friends and family unless you want to give your family members the work one as well.
Privacy: One way is to not make more accounts or to watch what you post just change your privacy settings. Change them so only your friends can see the wacky things you post. Custom setting only some people can see what and others can see this and some can’t.
There are some tips in hopes you can use them.
