Believing in the story of Jesus who hushed the storm, walked on water, or changed water into wine has nothing to do with my subjective logic. Believing to me is an acceptance of something being said as true, because I believe the author or rather the storyteller. When my mother told me a fairy I did not believe in the story but my mother. If she lied to me then that is her problem not mine. I have nothing to shield. A lot of people carry themselves as if on golden platters and constantly busy themselves shielding their “super” sensitivities treating them as unique. Yet, everyone is sensitive and unique, we just go about it differently.
When we believe in something we derive the satisfaction of being a believer; as opposed to being an unbeliever. This satisfaction attracts the spirit of religion; and the result is religiousness. "It is written, I believe it; that settles it" is not the way to go—according to this pattern you would then believe a murderer, rapist and children molester who craftily calls himself a man of God. Now, if you believe that the devil was behind that evil man's actions then you must really know the devil well before you can affirmatively state so. The devil will not go to the electric chair, or guillotine, but the murderer would. The devil is not on trial, but the human, or rather an inhuman being.
