The Bentley Brooklands was launched in 1992 replacing the Bentley Eights and Mulsannes, and as a commemoration of the racing track, because Brooklands was the place where the Bentleys has its greatest triumphs. Most cars followed the lead set by Rolls Royce in the angled outlines of the body. The Bentley Brooklands underwent a few changes to become the Bentley Arnage in 1998. This was again converted into a two door coupe that premiered in 2007 at Geneva. It was the world's largest double doored coupe. Torque was stepped up to an unbelievable 774 lb/ft making it the most powerful car too. The tradition of hand built bodies of the Bentley's was another point in its favor. It was priced at $340,000 and restricted to only 550 cars that made it an exclusive range. It was the poshest car to own in its era and made its exit in 2011 because Mulsanne became the flagship of the Bentleys.
