The Russian Ambassador who was killed on 19th December, Andrei Karlov, was an experienced ambassador to Turkey. He was performing ambassador’s duties and involved in foreign affairs since 1976. The ending of 2016 was not pleasant due to two tragic events; the murder of Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov in Ankara, the capital of Turkey and crushing of people by the truck who were busy in shopping for Christmas in Berlin, the capital of Germany. Andrei Karlov who was busy in his speech in an exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ankara was killed by Turk policeman, while in a Christmas market situated in central area of Berlin, it was attacked with the help of truck at night, as a result, 12 citizens were killed and almost 50 people were injured, out of whom 18 people’s condition is told to be critical. ISIS took in charge for this attack. It is told about the killer of Russian ambassador that he had killed him in the reaction of Arial explosion by Russia in Aleppo. Immediately after this occasion, the leaders of Russia and Turkey had expressed their views that this was an attempt to destroy relations between them, those after a great time had to be settled among them. While after the invasion in Berlin, German Chancellor “Angela Merkel” has told the nation in his address that we should consider it terrorism. At this occasion, she apprehended that the attacker may be the refugee; if it comes true then it must be very hurting for her that a person who is seeking for shelter is actually involved in this mishap.

We must be aware of that the murder of Russian ambassador and truck attack on innocent people are not the new incidents of this type or the only tragic incidents happening in this world. There are many other examples of such kind of incidents. On 11th September 2012 in Colombian city “Bin Ghazi”, an American Ambassador, John Christopher Stevens, was also murdered. In this incident, rebellions first set fire on American Consulate and then threw a hail of bullets on it. In this attack, 2 persons shot dead on the spot and American Ambassador died in the hospital. Rebellions made hostage eight members of Embassy staff and killed two of them. According to American media, rebellions tortured the ambassador Christopher Stevens so much that he got the heart attack and passed away. After that, a terrorist group from Libya took responsibility for this attack and also told that they took revenge for the death of Colonel Gaddafi.

We can probably say that the death of Russian Ambassador is the first incident of such type in Turkey in recent times. But if we look at the history, we come to know that the death of Russian Ambassador has done great damage to Turkish society in past and this incident had played the great role in the division of Islamic world into parts. In 1903, Russian ambassador was also killed in Turkey. This was the last period of Turkish Khilafat and this mishap occurred in city Bitola in Macedonia, the province of that time. The killer was Albano-Turkish. This incident provided the chance to world powers to create a new agenda against Turkey that Government of Turkey has been so weak that it can’t provide security even to embassy staff appointed in the state. After the murder of Russian Ambassador by taking the advantage of weakness of Turkish Government, world powers brought their warships to the Shore of Bosphorus Sea that they will take immediate action to provide security to embassy staff and citizens of Turkey. Then there was a great pressure on Khilafat Ottoman by Russia and it also wanted to occupy Turkey. But his dream could not come true due to some reasons.

Russian ambassador “Andrei Karlov” who died on 19th December was a very experienced ambassador. He was working as ambassador since 1976. He was appointed as Russian ambassador to Turkey in 2013. After his appointment, he faced a big challenge when Turk Air force hit the Russian jet on Turkish boundary. At that time the relationship between these two countries had to face real difficulties.

We must know that Turkey is an important member of NATO and is also the gateway to Europe. Turkey was also the strong member of Soviet Empire. An important fact about the death of the ambassador is that after the assassination, killer loudly shouted with “Don’t forget Aleppo, “Don’t forget Syria”. Whoever took part in the cruelty there would have to pay for it. The condition in Aleppo after the entrance of Russian and Iranian troops is getting worse day by day. About the condition of Aleppo even Secretary-General of United Nations; “Ban Ki-moon” said that “Aleppo is becoming a hell”. Another international vocal person said that “Humanity has died there”. After the surrender of opposition in Aleppo, the condition became worst and thousands of people are still captivated there and have no safe place to live. Besides these facts, who is responsible for that? The people who died in this condition, who will take the responsibility for their blood? Who will be accountable for these deaths? International powers fail to find the solution of Syrian crises and they only try to find a military solution.

According to ambassadors, we cannot forget the fact that the incapable governments in Iraq and Syria are responsible for the worst condition in these countries. After the murder of Russian ambassador, the relationship between Russia and Iraq is again facing difficulties. However, the presidents of both countries refuse all apprehensions related to relationship and declare this incident as a conspiracy against the good relationships between two countries but the fact is that the relations between Turkey and Russia are bitter. On the other side, the incident of Berlin created problems for German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Till now, there is a big issue of security whether the German Government is providing the proper security or not.

Before this incident, in a city of France, a truck hit the citizens, as a result of this incident, 86 citizens had died and 245 people were injured. This incident also happened on the special day of Bestial. ISIS also took the responsibility of this attack and this was also made linked with the civil war in Iraq and Syria.

The military intelligence told about the use of truck as a weapon in terrorist activities was new while in previous terrorist activities, suicidal bombing and firing were the factors of terrorists’ policy. While now on the special events or days, terrorists attack innocent people. After this incident, German chancellor Angela Merkel consoled her citizens and she also ensured that the people who are responsible for this mishap will must have to face punishment for their act of cruelty but in reality we all are aware of that this incident will be proved challenge for Angela Merkel because she was very hospitable and kind-hearted towards the refugees of Syria and at that time Muslim world praised her act of kindness but Europe and Germany did not support Angela in her decision of providing shelter for refugees and almost 8lac 90 thousand refugees are living in Germany.

According to all western agencies, the main reason behind all of these mishaps is the civil war in Syria. Maybe now all the European leaders realize that how much damage has occurred because of weak policies of Obama on Syrian matter. The murder of Russian ambassador or the truck attack in Berlin both incidents is giving only one message that until we are not catching the root cause of the problem we cannot solve the problem. All leaders of European countries are agreed on the fact that Syria is becoming Volcano. As soon as we can cool the volcano, it would be better for all of us. Right decisions at the right time will help us to control this situation. Thanks
