Bhoothnath Returns is a completely entertaining movie and yet delivers a social message. This movie features Amitabh Bachchan and Parth Bhalero as the lead characters. Bhoothnath Returns is the story of Bhoothnath played by Amitabh who was dishonored in 'Bhoothland' as he was unable to fright kids. While looking for his subsequent birth as man, Bhoothnath was told to show his reliability as a ghoul first, and Bhoothnath takes on this challenge. This movie shows Bhootnath’s journey on the Earth as well as rather than scaring away the kids, how he found a kiddie friend named Akhrot. Bhoothnath then continued to save his friend as well as India.

This movie was targeted mainly at children, plus it serves the intention to entertain and also give a straightforward message in an insistent manner to become a responsible citizen. According to the message, before anyone starts charging the Government for their sufferings, they should do their duties.

Parth who played the character of Akhrot, made his debut in Bollywood with Bhoothnath Returns is brilliant. Parth shared screen space with the superstar Big B all through the movie and managed greatly to beat the big name Amitabh Bachchan. Parth is mainly recognized for the Marathi movie ‘Khalti Doka Varti Paay’ that was displayed in the year 2013 at the Cannes Film Festival. There are many sequences in the movie where Parth and Amitabh are doing same things, similar body language, similar dialogues but Parth came out as the obvious winner. Big B commented during an interview about Parth that, he is a appropriate performer, a full-grown artist as well as hero of Bhootnath Returns. 

This movie did well and fulfilled the expectations of the fans of Big B.
