Justin Bieber passes 1 billion-view mark on Vevo with breakthrough music video 'Baby.'
Justin Bieber could use a little positive publicity these days, and thanks to fans and Vevo, he's getting some.
It was announced Monday that the music video for Bieber's breakthrough 2010 single, Baby, has become the most-watched clip ever on that platform, with more than 1 billion views.
That means that Baby is the first music video to be 10x CERTIFIED across Vevo — and that the Biebs reaches that milestone just about a week shy of his 20th birthday, on March 1.
Baby was among seven Bieber clips — also including Never Say Never, One Time,Somebody To Love, Never Let You Go, One Less Lonely Girl and Love Me — in Vevo's inaugural CERTIFIED class when the 100 million views milestone program was instituted in June 2012. Clips for Mistletoe, Boyfriend, Beauty and a Beat and As Long As You Love Me have since joined the list, giving the singer a total of 11.
