This is my new C-Blog for the AI-inspired project known as "BitLanders C-Blogging." It is entitled "BitLanders C-Blogging: Future of artificial intelligence."
My previous C-Blogs are "BitLanders C-Blogging: History of artificial intelligence," "BitLanders C-Blogging: Main misconceptions about artificial intelligence," and "BitLanders C-Blogging: Should we fear artificial intelligence?"
Artificial intelligence is the study of how to make machines operate intelligently. To put it bluntly, a computer is intelligent in the range in which it does the right things, not the wrong ones. The creation of artificial intelligence includes solving problems of machine learning and robotics.
All that our civilization consists of is the product of our mind. AI allows us to expand our intellectual capabilities in various ways. Properly designed AI systems will enable the realization of human values on a much larger scale. Machine learning is a section of AI that studies ways that will allow computers to increase the effectiveness of their actions with the help of accumulated experience.
It is very likely that areas in which universal human intelligence is not needed will reach maturity and produce reliable high-quality products in the next decade. These areas include speech recognition, visual recognition of objects and behavior, robotic handling of everyday things, and autonomous driving.
