Slayer is an American thrash metal band from Huntington Park, California, formed in 1981 by founding members Jeff Hanneman, Dave Lombardo and Kerry King. Slayer rose to fame with its 1986 release Reign in Blood, and is credited as one of the "Big Four" thrash metal bands, along with Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax, as well as a pioneer of the thrash metal subgenre of heavy metal music. Between 1991 and 2004, the band sold more than 3.5 million albums in the United States.
Slayer was once of my Favorite metal bands of all times. They are the genre defining bands of their era. Slayer plays the fastest trashing riffs and they made me so eager to grab a guitar and practice my craft in playing a guitar. They are the inspiration for me to play and learn lead guitar as well. The band lost Jeff Hanneman but they announced a comeback album in the middle of 2015. Thrash your ears until you break and snap your ears.
