This article by Riza-Gomez entitled The Customer is Not Always Right reminded me of what I read that "the customer has a right but is not always right."
Have you ever worked in customer-service related jobs like fastfood or call center jobs? I agree in one article that says that customer-service related jobs should be one of the jobs that we should experience. Why? This is to make us understand how to be of service. I think that this is a must. We should learn how to empathize with others and not be judgmental. This may avoid conflicts when we are the ones receiving the service.
You don't need to be rude to get what you want. In the food service, always be kind to your servers for you do not know what they might do to your food (like spitting on them) if you don't treat them well. Also, always remember and apply the golden rule: Do unto others what you want others do unto you.
You can resolve conflicts in a peaceful way. Better yet avoid conflicts to avoid stress.
