If there is pipit bird, there is also a bulbul bird. I thought this was called "salaksak" in the vernacular. However, further Googling took me to this site where it lists local names for this bird; taking a cue from AdGoogleKo's comment in this video to narrow my search.
What I like about these birds is that they have this noisy chirping and yet wonderful to listen to. Early in the morning and up to late in the afternoon, I always notice them in our yard. They frequent the bamboos our neighbors have in their yard but they also visit our fruit-bearing trees.
I also noticed that they come in pairs, male and female, and somewhat territorial. The ones we have here are the only pair I see always. There comes a time though when other pairs stay in the nearby trees but they don't stay for long.
