How AmeriCares Cares
(Source: Google)
Helping others, a simple act of kindness, is one of the fruits of love. We give help because we know the feeling of needing help and the feeling of receiving none. We empathize and realize how important it is to be considerate of others' feelings and the situation they are in. We have the responsibility as human beings to be selfless.

Helping or giving is immeasurable. No matter how small or big you think your act or the kind of help you gave, it does not matter. What matters most is that you helped. It is our duty and responsibility to do good. We should help each other in every way we can, whenever we can, wherever we can to the best of our abilities.
Do good without asking something in return. Your act of kindness and love may not be appreciated by others but it creates an impact to those you did those acts. When something good happens to you or when you are treated with kindness and love you are compelled to repeat that act.

Charity in bitlanders
I have already said this before and I say again: One of the things I love about bitlanders is the fact that they have a charity section wherein we can give some amount for a good cause. I have to admit though that at first I did not pay attention to it. It was not until one of the users here in bitlanders made mention about AmeriCares that got me interested and decided to check out the donation section here in bitlanders.
For those who do not know where the charities are listed, go to your earnings/rewards and click on the donate button to take you to the list of charities you can donate.

At first, there were only a handful of these charities. I cannot recall if AmeriCares was one of them. As days passed by, more and more charities were added to the list. Giving is a two-way street. You always get something in return. With bitlanders, you donate but you are also rewarded with buzz bonus.
bitlanders also gives the opportunity for you to help the charity of your choice. You just have to let them know about it and they will help you set it up here in bitlanders and add that charity to their list.
Mr. Bob's Selfless Act
To give you a brief history of how AmeriCares came to be, first you must remember Robert C. Macauley. Mr. Macauley was a paper broker from Connecticut. It was in 1975 when it all began. A US jet carrying that was carrying hundreds of Vietnamese orphans crashed into a jungle in Vietnam. Most of the orphans burned to death while others were in critical condition. Unfortunately, the US government cannot afford to rescue those kids.
The world watched in horror and in helplessness.
Robert C. Macauley did otherwise. He acted.

Even though he did not have the money, still, he chartered a plane and rescued the survivors within 48 hours and brought them safely to California. He worried about the expenses he incurred during that rescue mission. What matters most is that he saved lives. He may have lost his home as payment to the expenses made during that trip but it was nothing compared to the worth of lives he rescued.
Why AmeriCares?
In my own little world, the extent of my reach is limited as I know yours is, too. We can only do as much in our way. I was happy to know that in some way, I can do my share by giving a portion of my earnings to help others. We can donate to charity and let them work it out whatever donations we give them. That is when AmeriCares and other charities come in.

One of the first respondents during this time of need was AmeriCares. They were the first team to send volunteers to where the typhoon hit. They provided the most needed aid such as food, clothing, medical assistance such as first aid and medicine, water, etc.
AmeriCares not only responded quickly but also provided generators through the help of GE Foundation. AmeriCares also set up other facilities and funds for health, emergency and other needs and supplies to help rebuild the lives affected by typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda).

Most of the people affected by the previous year's Yolanda were once again made to suffer by Typhoon Hagupit (Ruby). In March 2015, Cyclone Pam hit Vanuatu, killing and destroying everything it hit. The storm had made a great impact to Vanuatu. According to reports, this has affected the country's development that it pushed back Vanuatu's progress by many years. It may not be the strongest typhoon or cyclone but it is strong enough to weaken Vanuatu.

AmeriCares works hard in bringing help to those who need them and filling the gaps of necessity that other people need worldwide.
It is such a comfort to know that in times of disaster, when calamity strikes, that there are those who are willing to help. Thank God for charities and organizations helping to make this world bearable to live in. We are blessed with so much that we should not forget to share what we have.
AmeriCares and other charities or organizations see to it that they are ready in times like these so they are ready and quick in providing help. If you cannot be there physically for others, then at least be there financially.
bitlanders is such a great channel for us to send help to other people with the use of bitcoin and the digital world. We earn and we can help at the same time with this great platform that bitlanders has created.
