The BMW i8 Coupe is an all-wheel-drive plugin hybrid that embodies the German auto behemoth’s green-themed sub-brand to be launched in 2014. The design prototype has been put for displays in various auto shows across the world with the most recent one hosted at the 2012 New York Auto Show. The BMW i8 concept project has progressed over the years that embodies numerous design elements, which have a slim chance of making the cut for production. Pricing has not yet been disclosed, but market analysts suspect the i8 Coupe will have starting prices somewhere close to $150,000. A roadster variant has been also contemplated but BMW has consistently maintained that it was meant for a design purposes only and a convertible was not thought of in the initial concept.
