Melissa Groo, photographer: "This morning I got a tip from a friend that a bobcat was at a deer carcass (roadkill) not too far from home. I photographed from my car, with a long lens with a 2x extender, and I was careful not to disturb them from what must have been a badly needed meal. The bobcat on the left (the female) is quite a bit smaller than the one on the right (the male). She was eating a lot more than the male, and I wondered if she were pregnant."
