Three people were killed and 35 others injured when a speeding bus collided with a truck at Majhipara on Bogra-Rangpur Highway in Bogra sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday noon.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Sadar police officer-in charge Abul Bashar said the accident took place when a Bogra-bound bus from Rangpur collided with a truck coming from opposite direction in the area, and then overturned, leaving three people dead on spot and 35 others injured.

Injured were taken to Bogra Medical College Hospital.
