Aditya Chopra is director of this master piece movie named ‘Mohabbatein’ , it’s an Indian movie or we can say it a bollywood movie as we know Indian film industry is called ‘Bollywood’. ‘‘Mohabbatein’ is urdu language word which is in Hindi : मोहब्बतें and in english it is ‘Love’
this movie released in year 2000, it was second block buster movie of Aditya Chopra after the project of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Central roles of this movie were the kings of bollywood Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan with the queen of bollywood Aishwarya Rai, Aishwarya Rai was Khan’s lover and Amitabh’s daughter in movie. Another thing which makes it more memorable for all is two kings of bollywood were first appeared together in same movie.
a big hit song of this movie, which is also the title song of movie was composed by Jatin-Lalit and beautiful lyrics were created by Anand Bakshi.
This movie was the best movie of the year 2000 in the history of bollywood it won many awards the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor, for Khan and Bachchan respectively.

Plot
Amitabh Bachchan named as Narayan Shankar is the very strange and cruel as well strict principal of Gurukul Boys University. Narayan always speech about his rules and regulations at university and tell them every time to follow it. He is principal for 25 years and prohibited all students from all kind of romance, infact he is a great disbeliever of romance and love emotions. Main focus in film are three students:
Sameer (Jugal Hansraj),
Vicky (Uday Chopra) and
Karan (Jimmy Shergill)
Unfortunately they all fell in love
Sameer is in love with Sanjana (Kim Sharma), both are childhood friend
Vicky falls in love for Ishika (Shamita Shetty), a student of the all-girls university next door to Gurukul
Karan becomes love bird with Kiran (Preeti Jhangiani), a girl he sees at a train station
They all know it very well, if they are caught, their principal would expel them.
Raj Aryan (shah rukh khan) one day start teaching at Gurukul as music teacher. He challenges the all rules of gurukul and gradually starts the things which Narayan strongly dislikes. Raj is great believer of love and romance, when he knew the stories of three boys he appreciates them and advices them to make their love dreams come true. Boys also want to make their wish come true but one by one they discovered some bitter realities, Sameer noticed that Sanjana has already a boy friend, Vicky knew that ishika don’t like him, Karan heard that Kiaran is married to a pilot who is dead or alive nobody knows, Raj encouraged them and told them that once upon a time he was also in love with Megha (Aishwarya Rai), she is dead but he still loves her with all his heart and imagines that she is still with her.
Raj makes a party in Gururkal and invites the girls from Girls University which is near Gurukul, because he wants to spread love in Gurukul. Narayan is extremely angry and warns the Raj. Raj then tells to Naryan, he was a student at Gurukul years ago, and he was in love with Megha, who was the only daughter of narayan and when narayan knew their love story he had expelled Raj without looking his face or knowing him, megha did not bear it and she committed suicide. Raj came back to Gurukul to change the customs and traditions of Gurukul and to make it the place where love is not forbidden. Raj promises Narayan that he will make Gurukal a place of love and romance. Narayan says I accept this challenge and you will see I will be the winner, you are not able to change my rules.
All three boys win the hearts of girls, to whom they love J Narayan is making Gurukul more strict by his rules day by day, but all three boys always break the rulesa and other students are also starting following them. Finally Narayan decides to expel Sameer,Vicky and Karan but Raj tells Narayan that he is the leader of the boys and he is telling them to break the rules for love because love is the emotion which is so beautiful and worthy. Raj also makes realization to Narayan that he is wrong and a looser, who lost her daughter many years ago and today who is losing his students and also looking his rules are breaking one by one.
Raj convinces Narayan in a way that he realizes his all mistakes and says sorry to Raj in front of all students of Gurukul, Narayan also makes Raj new principal of Gurukul. Raj finally wins and makes Gurukul a place of love J in the end Raj and Narayan hugs each other and Raj forgives him.

Production Of Movie "Mohabbatein”
As I mentioned above Yash Chopra was the producer of this movie. Yash was also friend of Amitabh and production house ABCL of Amitabh was not working well, he was facing severe financial crises, In an old interview Amitabh told that he approached Yash for work and signed the role ‘Narayan’
Locations of scenes are India and England. Some scenes were also filmed at Oxford and Cambridge University. The campus ‘Gurukul’ was also situated in London.
Shah Rukh Khan signed the film without even reading the script. In all trailers of the movie presence of Ashwariya Rai was not revealed, because producer kept is as surprise for audience so people speculated that there is may be Mdhuri or Kajol as lover of shah rukh in the movie J
Role of Ashwariya Rai was offered to kajol and karishma (actresses of bollywood), but they refused it because of small role in the film.
Other locations of movie are :
The railway station scenes were filmed at Apta Railway Station, Panvel Maharashtra, India.
The scene where Karan offers friendship to Kiran was filmed at Birla Mandir, Revdanda, Alibag, Maharashtra, India.
