Bollywood star Salman Khan had approached the Mumbai court to adjourn for three weeks the recording of his statement in the 2002 hit-and-run case due to start on March 27 in which he ran over pavement dwellers outside a bakery near his home in suburban Bandra as a result of which one person was killed and four others were injured. But the court on Wednesday declined his plea. So the actor will have to appear before a Mumbai court on Friday and his statement will be recorded under Section 313 of the Criminal Procedure Code of India.
