Like many developing countries, Pakistan too faced with a serious issue of brain drain.According to estimate of
Pakistan's Overseas Employment Corporation, about 3600 professionals including teachers, doctors and
engineers have left the country in the last 30 years and this is part of a continuous stream of ambitions, qualified
brain power trying to find solace to its frustration in more enterprising and accommodating social system.
More often, this flight to "greener pastures" is attributed to expediency and put down as merely attraction to an
apparently more comfortable and luxurious lifestyle; the act an expression of apathy and scant concern for the
homeland. this assertion is supported citing the high subsidies offered in higher education institution in
Pakistan and the waste this investment goes to as the skill imparted to these individuals is tapped in by other
societies.Fellow countrymen lament the opportunism with fuels the flight of educated assets to serve societies
comparatively better supplied and in less demands then the home country for such individuals, for this time
when any contribution may be more worthwhile.
